Remembering Rev. Dr. Julio Vilanculos

Rev. Dr. Julio Vilanculos member of Christmas Covenant Outreach Team

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Rev. Dr. Julio Vilanculos, who was a member of the Christmas Covenant Central Conference Outreach Team and an Advisor of the United Methodist Africa Forum. Rev. Vilanculos joined the ministry in the 1990s, and over the years, he held various leadership positions within the Mozambique Episcopal Area of the United Methodist Church. He was elected delegate for the 2016 and 2019 General Conferences. Rev. Vilanculos was an Africa University graduate, and currently he was the Vice Chancellor of the United Methodist University of Mozambique as well as Vice President of the Association of African Methodist Institutions of Higher Education. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Vilanculos family during this time of grief and sorrow. May the Lord embrace and comfort the family
